Hi, I’m Desert Specter, aka Ethan H.

I’m a one-person band. I write the lyrics and the music, and play the synths, the drumpads, and my special tricked-out custom 3-string guitar. I sing, I record, I mix and master and produce and publish.

I also create all the album art (and other graphics & logos), do the web design here, and everything else.

You name it, it’s just me.

I make music because if I don’t, there’s a creative part of my mind that would go totally fucking crazy.

I’ve been making music my whole life in various forms and groups, but I started making music for Desert Specter in 2020, and started publishing it in 2023.

The guitar I play was custom built for me by a friend of mine who is also named Ethan. It’s made from a metal lunchbox, black with white spray paint, a wooden bridge with carved devil horns, and then some custom knobs and switches and stuff. It’s got 3 pickups configurable in 5 different ways, plus a killswitch and some other conveniences. I love the way it sounds.
